Why Passport Seva mobile application?

The reason for choosing the mobile application of this site is because issues and is difficult to use for normal users and users above age of 60 as well. there are UI/UX laws that are not abided for this application in mobile version.

Fitts Law’ is not abided for the mobile version. The touch target is not large enough for users to accurately select them. Make sure to provide ample space between all the interactive elements in page

For mobile version ‘Miller’s Law’ is not used. The number of items below ‘Associated Links’ is more than 7. Similar issue observed for links below ‘Latest News’ and ‘Circular’. Organize content into smaller chunks (use ‘dropdown’ menus OR ‘More’ button) to help users process, understand, and memorize easily. The contents appear cluttered

As there are number of options available in a single shot there are many options and thus this increases the complexity for users to select the items or make decisions due to numerical choices provided at once, ‘Hick’s Law’ is not incorporated in the application. Make sure to reduce number of options and thus abide ‘Hick’s Law’

There are many complex functionality , i.e. selecting an item as amongst multiple options , the ‘Occam’s Razors’ law is not incorporated.

The website is bombarded with lot of information. The website does not have ‘Aesthetic and Minimalist Design’. Provide simple layout, only the things of links that are mandatory should be present on the page , the rest can be under dropdown sections. Incorporate minimalistic approach.

In the above image different colors are used to mention about vital information, ideally a different color and bold/underline is considered to be a visual cue for links. www.passportindia.gov.in in green acts as link but the rest text with red/green background do not act as link. This might cause confusion for colorblind users as well. Make sure visual cue is provided only for interactive elements.

Make sure all the text with its respective background meet minimum contrast of 4.5:1
